meek /mēk/: quiet, gentle, and easily imposed on; submissive.
I think being described as meek is often seen as a weakness. This may be due to one of the defining words being “submissive.” Even though being submissive is mostly considered negative, there are instances where submitting will lead to growth and success. I believe being meek means submitting to life’s lessons and growing from them. That sounds like a strength, right? You do not have to keep making the same mistakes before you make the needed changes.
It has taken me years to look at meek that way. It has become one of my favorite words since it is somewhat a part of my name. So I thought it would be fitting to re-name my blog Meek Life. It encompasses who I am and who I aspire to be. On this blog, I want to share my journey with submitting to life’s lessons and hope to inspire you to do the same.
